Application Process for K-12th

In order for a student to be considered for admission to Kindergarten through grade 12 at Cole Valley Christian Schools and grades 3 through 12 at the Idaho Learning Center, the following steps must be completed prior to acceptance:

1.  Submit the following forms, which are included in this Application packet:

  • Family Information
  • Statement of Faith
  • Parent Commitment
  • Student’s Personal Information
  • Student Information
  • Student Commitment (5-12 grade only
  • Student Questionnaire (7-12 grade only)

2.  Submit a copy of the following documents:

  • A copy of the student’s most recent report card and transcripts
  • A copy of the student’s most recent state or school standardized test scores
  • If applicable, include copies of any IEP, 504, or medical/educational diagnostic testing

3.  An Application Fee of $75.00, which is due at time of submission of application.

4.  Current teacher listed on the Student Information form will be contacted directly by a CVCS or ILC Admissions Manager to request the teacher to complete a Teacher Reference form.  Please make sure the teacher’s email is current so there won’t be delays in the acceptance process.

5.  At the Secondary Campus, a 2.0 minimum GPA is required for admission.  Students who fall below this minimum may be considered, but only after an Educational Consultation with Administration has taken place, followed by additional academic testing.

6.  Parents/guardians of applicants must participate in a personal interview conducted by a school administrator.  The interview will be scheduled once all required documents are received and all testing is complete.  Students applying for admission to 6th through 12th grade will also be interviewed.

7.  Entrance Exam Policies:

  • Students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade must take an assessment exam.
  • 7th through 12th grade students may be given an entrance exam in math as part of the application process.  Students will also be asked to complete a writing sample on the day of the interview.
  • Students applying to the Idaho Learning Center (ILC) must undergo more extensive testing.  A separate testing application and fees must be submitted.
