💡 Second Application Window Opens for Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit

Families in Idaho will soon have another opportunity to apply for the Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit, a program designed to help support qualifying educational expenses for students attending nonpublic schools.

The second application window will open at 8:00 AM on May 21 and close at 10:59 PM on August 15.

Important Information for Families

• Applicants must have filed an Idaho Form 40 (Full-Year Resident) for the 2024 tax year.
• Families may apply for the parental choice tax credit for qualifying expenses paid in 2025, regardless of income level.
• Families with income below 300% of the 2024 federal poverty level will receive funding priority.
• Families without qualifying 2025 expenses may still apply for an advance payment for 2026 expenses if their modified adjusted gross income does not exceed 300% of the 2024 federal poverty level.
