Community Service
Serving others is not just an activity—it’s a calling. We believe that one of the most powerful ways to reflect Christ is by showing His love through acts of service, both big and small. From local projects to global missions, we want our students to understand the joy and responsibility of living as servant leaders.
To help foster this mindset, seventh and eighth grade students complete at least 5 hours and High School students complete 10 hours of community service each semester. This requirement is included in their Bible class. National Honor Society students will complete 15 hours of service hours per semester and 15 hours during the summer. These hours may include school-wide service events as well as Spirit-led opportunities that students pursue individually. Whether it’s volunteering in the community, helping neighbors, or supporting ministries. Serving others is a way to share the Gospel in action.
Through these experiences, students not only discover and develop their God-given gifts but also see firsthand how those gifts can be used to make an eternal impact. Our prayer is that each student would leave CVCS with a heart for service, equipped to humbly lead and faithfully serve wherever God calls them.
"In the same way, let your shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
