🥎 Lauren Colson Named 4A State Softball Player of the Year

Cole Valley Christian Schools is proud to celebrate Lauren Colson for being named the 2026 4A State Softball Player of the Year.

The honor caps off a truly historic junior season for Lauren, who became the first softball player in school history to earn the prestigious statewide recognition.

Throughout the season, Lauren was a driving force behind the Chargers' success, helping lead the team to its second consecutive 4A Idaho State Championship. Her exceptional performance at the plate included 26 home runs, setting the Idaho modern-era single-season home run record and establishing one of the most remarkable offensive seasons the state has ever seen.

Lauren's impact reached far beyond the statistics. Her leadership, consistency, and competitive spirit helped set the tone for a Chargers team that dominated throughout the season and continued to raise the standard for excellence in Cole Valley athletics.

With this recognition, Lauren joins Soren Fraas of the Chargers boys basketball team as one of Cole Valley's 2026 4A State Players of the Year. Both student-athletes played instrumental roles in leading their teams to Idaho 4A State Championships, making this an extraordinary year for Charger athletics.
