Cole Valley Christian Schools (CVCS) is a non-profit, non-denominational school comprised of students representing more than 50 churches throughout the Treasure Valley.

Our Christ-centered educational program includes:

* Early Childhood (Preschool - Pre-K)
* Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grades)
* Middle School (6th - 8th Grades)
* High School (9th - 12th Grades)

Cole Valley Christian first opened its doors in 1972 as Cole Christian School. In 1999, Cole Christian merged with Valley Christian High School to become Cole Valley Christian Schools. An Early Childhood Program was added in 2009. Currently, over 1200 students are enrolled, making Cole Valley Christian the largest K-12 Christian school in the State of Idaho.

Cole Valley Christian Schools is accredited through:

  • Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
    • All full-time faculty and administrators are required to be degreed and certified by ACSI. 
  • Cognia
    • The State of Idaho recognizes the Cognia accreditation, thereby giving CVCS state accreditation.

Cole Valley Christian Schools is an independent, inter-denominational, biblically-based Christian school (Preschool through 12th grade) with campuses located in Boise and Meridian, Idaho - approximately six miles apart.

  • The Elementary Campus is located at Cole Community Church, near the intersection of Maple Grove and Ustick Road - Early Childhood program through 5th grade.
  • The Middle/High School Campus is located on Carlton Avenue in downtown Meridian - grades 6 through 12. 
  • A shuttle bus transports students between campuses. 

The student body is primarily drawn from Boise (37%), Meridian (37%), Eagle (10%), and Nampa (6%), with the remaining 10% coming from other communities throughout the Treasure Valley. 

Students are evaluated on the basis of their transcripts, test scores, recommendations, and a personal interview.  Cole Valley Christian Schools does not discriminate based on race or ethnic origin in the admission of students and hiring of faculty and staff. 

Cole Valley Christian Schools is a believer school (meaning that at least one parent/guardian is a professing Christian).

We define academic excellence as challenging each student to reach their fullest potential in preparing them for college or to wherever God calls them. 

  • Our students participate in the nationally normed STAR testing as well as the ACT and SAT and consistently score above the national, state, and local averages of public schools in the Treasure Valley. 
  • CVCS consistently has National Merit scholars and finalists among its student body. 
  • Students participate each year in a variety of academic competitions such as the Idaho National Laboratory Scholastic Tournament, Idaho History Bee, Speech Meet and Math Counts. 
  • Student Academic Services staff on both campuses partner with parents in assisting students with special learning needs.
  • In 2019/2020, CVCS launched a new program for gifted students, 5th-8th grades, called AIG - Academic & Intellectually Gifted.
  • CVCS Graduates: 
    • Historically, Cole Valley Christian sends 87-94% of its graduates to college, well above the published national public school statistic.  Graduates continue their education at a variety of two- and four-year colleges worldwide, technical schools, and military academies.
      • Graduates have applied for and been awarded an increasing number of scholarships each year. 
    • Graduates also continue on to serve Jesus Christ through military service and in the mission field.

  • Credits:  1 credit is earned each semester for each course successfully completed.
  • GPA:  Students must have a minimum Core GPA of 2.0 and pass all core classes with a D- or better.
  • Math & Science:  Four years of math and science are strongly recommended (and are required for admission to many colleges.)
    • Math is required to be taken by all students during 12th grade.
  • Foreign Language:  Two or more years of the same foreign language are strongly recommended and are required for admission to many colleges.  Three years are required by some highly competitive colleges.
  • Bible:  Bible credits are required for each semester in attendance at CVCS.
    • The range listed is based on the number of semesters a student attends CVCS in High School.

CVCS participates in the Idaho High School Activities Association 2A conference and competes in the 2A Western Idaho Conference (WIC).  We strive for excellence in being a witness to the community through our athletics.
