Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an important time in your child’s life.  This is the year during which the foundation of all future learning is built.  Our academic focus in kindergarten is to:

  • Explicitly teach skills to help students grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
  • Build a strong reading foundation through phonics skills.
  • Develop a strong number sense in math.
  • Build confident writers

Academic Program:

  • Five full days / week
  • Monday – Friday

To foster relationships and build security and trust for students entering the classroom in their elementary years, our kindergarten classrooms are self-contained. Students spend much of the day with their homeroom teacher and rotate between one specials’ class (P.E., music, STEAM, and social/emotional strategies) four days a week. Kindergarten students also attend a chapel service weekly that is geared for younger students.
