Kindergarten is an important time in your child’s life. This is the year during which the foundation of all future learning is built. Our academic focus in kindergarten is to:
- Build a strong reading foundation through phonics skills
- Develop a strong number sense in math
- Build confident writers
Specialty Teacher Model: We achieve this focus by having students move between three teachers' classrooms who specialize in reading, writing, and math. Although our teachers are certified in all subjects, having teachers focus on the subject they are most passionate about brings creativity and enthusiasm that is contagious for kids. The teacher meets with small groups of students on a regular basis to help students at their level of understanding to fill gaps, reinforce, or challenge students to go further. While the small group is meeting with the teacher, the rest of the class is moving through multi-sensory small group learning labs to reinforce skills using all of their senses.

- Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - 8:20 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
- Additional full-day program
- Add 1 or 2 Days:
- Monday (4 day week)
- Thursday (4 day week)
- Both Monday & Thursday (5 day week)
Enrichment classes are offered Monday and Thursday for parents who work on those days and need additional days for their child to be in school or for students who would benefit from more exposure. Enrichment classes are designed to extend learning concepts taught during core kindergarten days, not to teach new concepts. Parents may choose 1 or 2-day enrichment options. This is not a drop-in setting and consists of the full-day. Students must be enrolled in the chosen enrichment class(es) for the school year. We offer extended care options for before and after school if needed for an additional charge.
Kindergarten screening and a parent interview are scheduled once the application is received.
