Elementary

Cole Valley Christian elementary's unique instructional program includes a multi-sensory, small group academic approach, allowing students to learn at their individual level in a dynamic biblically based community. Our strategic plan across all elementary grades is designed to prepare students academically for upcoming grades and build the knowledge of our God and His word as students move from year to year. In kindergarten, students are in self-contained classrooms. However, in grades 1-5, students start and end their day with a homeroom teacher and then rotate to separate specialty teachers in language arts and math. All elementary grades attend specials including PE, music, STEM, and ART.

In addition to Bible, Math, Reading, Writing, History, and Science; students also are exposed to music, drama, art, physical education, and computer applications. Upper elementary students have opportunities to help to lead worship at weekly chapels, are reading buddies with younger students, and can apply for the Peer Ministry where they can come alongside the younger students to encourage and help.

A specific program in Science / Technology / Engineering / Art / Math (STEAM) led by our STEAM teachers provides exciting hands-on experiments and challenges for students as they grow their love of exploratory learning.
In addition to traditional teaching methods, teachers in each grade have incorporated theme days and field trips which involve all academic disciplines to creatively teach their students.  Cole Valley Christian students anticipate each grade and their opportunity to participate in these fun events. They might not even realize how much they are learning while they are making such fun memories.

After school enrichment classes and athletic programs provide an even broader possibility for students to learn and grow in their specific areas of interest. Extended Care is available to support our family needs during off school hours.
Our Student Academic Services program (SAS) provides services to support those students who may need additional intervention during the school day beyond the classroom.
